Utilize your administration and receptionist experience for a well-established, national electrical services company, based north-east of Melbourne CBD

This permanent and full-time opportunity will see you working in a state office north east of Melbourne CBD. The successful candidate will report directly to the Division Manager - Engineering Services and be part of the administration team for Services. A primary part of the role will be customer and visitor facing on reception, and be the primary person of contact on the reception phone line. Working Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm.


Your key responsibilities will include:


  • General office duties including data entry and database maintenance
  • Monitor/distribute/action incoming divisional emails
  • Attend and participate in team meetings
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Assistant, Procurement Officer and the Contracting Team
  • Invoicing and debtor management
  • Reception duties including being primary contact for reception phone line
  • Respond to and resolve queries in a customer-focused, timely and efficient manner
  • Organise inductions and training including updating client portals with relevant information
  • Assist with project activities as required
  • Assist payroll and accounts e.g. entering weekly timesheets and invoicing progress claims


Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:


  • Previous experience in office administration (ideally gained within construction services and/or electrical services)
  • Previous receptionist / customer services experience
  • IT literate with MS Outlook, Word and Excel, (experience with Greentree or similar financial systems is advantageous)
  • Well-developed communication and customer services with capacity to deal with confidential information
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on doing in right the first time'
  • Ability to work effectively as part of team and to provide back-up support to other administrators
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to work
