Electrical Tradesperson

Our Client is a government owned corporation utilising gas, diesel and solar technologies to provide electricity power across the NT. They are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Tradesperson experienced in large scale industry environments for day-to-day routine maintenance of generation assets at the Owen Springs Power Station in Alice Springs.

A variety of accountabilities will include;
• Undertaking reactive and predictive maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems
• Manage / investigate critical plant emergency incidents, complete plant failure / condition technical reports and efficiency assessments
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders
• Manage on-site contractors, permits and supervision to ensure efficient operation and safety
• Participate in an on-call roster and travel to other power stations where required

The Successful Candidate must be able to Demonstrate;
• Relevant Electrical qualification and hold a current A Grace Electrical Licence
• Instrumentation qualifications and or equivalent skills experience
• Sound ability to work in a Permit to Work system, ensuring safety, work unsupervised and maintain interaction with operational staff
• Well-developed computer literacy skills
• NT Driver's licence
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Competence and commitment to work place safety
