Senior Communication Specialist
An amazing opportunity for a Communication Specialist looking to join a leading NT employer in the utility sector for a 6-month contract!

Our client, a government-owned corporation, transmits and distributes electricity whilst providing water and sewerage services across the NT, including 72 indigenous communities and 79 outstations.

About the role
Using your expertise, you will support the project and operational teams by delivering a range of communications and engagement activities, such as:
  • Develop and execute innovative communication strategies for both external and internal customer communications for the project.
  • Create high-quality, engaging, and accessible written content in the form of guides, web content, customer communications, and social media.
  • Provide end-to-end support for communications activities, adhering to timelines and budgets.
  • Manage digital platforms including website, intranet and social media

Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and implementing communication projects in a customer and services industry environment.
  • Expertise in creating written content for digital platforms, internal communications, and customer guidance in alignment with regulatory compliance.
  • Confident user of Canva and content management systems.
  • Experience working in a dynamic high-pressure environment with the ability to meet deadlines ensuring project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Desirable
  • Relevant qualification in communications (equivalent experience will be considered).
  • An understanding of essential services, the utility sector and PR/crisis management communications.
  • Portfolio or examples of work that align to the requirements of the role.
