Are you an experienced leader in water treatment operations looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to oversee multiple water treatment facilities in the Perth region and potentially, interstate.
Location:
Initially working in WA at a location in the southern suburbs (Mon to Fri hours). For future projects you will be working FIFO or DIDO 8:6 rosters working 12 hours days. You need to be living in WA to be considered for this opportunity and ideally you will live within a 45-minute drive of Perth Airport.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for managing plant operations, leading production, and maintenance teams, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and contractual KPIs. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership and financial management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Plant Managers and operational teams across multiple sites.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and legal requirements (MHSA/OSHA).
- Drive continuous improvement and optimization initiatives.
- Maintain financial control with full P&L accountability.
- Oversee procurement, stock management, HR/IR, and administrative processes.
- Monitor plant health and intervene proactively to ensure optimal performance.
- Build strong client relationships and ensure high service delivery standards.
- Support business development and growth in the region.
About You:
- B.Eng or B.Sc in Engineering (Chemical preferred; Civil/Mechanical may be considered).
- 5+ years' experience in water treatment.
- Knowledge of RO, UF, Precipitation, and Clarification processes is advantageous.
- Previous experience as a Plant Manager or Area Manager is highly desirable.
- Strong planning, troubleshooting, and interpersonal skills.
- Ethical, accountable, and client-focused.
