Our client is a leading NT Civil Construction business based in Darwin who have worked on major Defence, industrial, community, commercial and remote construction projects throughout the NT for over 50 years. Due to business growth, they now have an exciting opportunity for an Auto Electrician to join their team.

About the role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Electrician to join a well-established team and contribute to the maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles and machinery. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, assisting with diagnostics, repairs, and installations of electrical components.
  • Diagnose electrical issues in heavy vehicles and machinery.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of electrical components such as wiring, alternators, starters, and lighting systems.
  • Install new electrical systems and accessories as needed.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure proper functioning of electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot complex electrical problems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
About You:

The successful candidate for this role must be able to prove and demonstrate the following:
  • Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician.
  • Proven experience working with heavy vehicles and machinery.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Current driver's license, Heavy Rigid (HR) licence desirable.
  • First Aid Certificate (Desirable).
  • Forklift Licence (Desirable).
  • Aircon Licence (Desirable).
