Reporting to the Engineering & Design Manager, you will bring your expertise in managing Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes and ensuring the successful implementation and maintenance of BIM standards.
This role is based in Edinburgh, on a 6-month full time contract with free on-site car parking.
Your role
You will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Oversee the development and implementation of BIM standards, processes, and workflows.
- Manage and coordinate BIM models and ensure they meet project requirements and standards
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient BIM execution
- Provide technical support and training to project teams on BIM tools and processes
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and company guidelines
- Review and validate BIM models to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Develop and maintain project documentation and BIM execution plans
- Facilitate project meetings and provide updates on BIM progress and issues
- Ensure BIM models are developed to the appropriate Level of Development (LOD) up to LOD 500
About you
- Demonstrated experience in BIM management coupled with a bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Extensive experience with Revit and other BIM software on large scale projects
- Strong understanding of BIM processes, standards, and workflows
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Superior communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Familiarity with LOD standards up to LOD 500 and their application in BIM models
- Experience in architectural, structural, or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drafting will be highly regarded
