About the Role
Our client, a major company in both Australia and New Zealand is a supplier of site maintenance, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, controls and maintenance to major sites all over the country. They employ over 44,000 people across more than 300 sites across Australia and New Zealand.
Our client is working alongside Santos at their GLNG Upstream project in the Arcadia gas field, in south-east Queensland. This part of the project is in Injune which is just up from Roma. The project scope will see you working on new commissioning of a new compressor station. You will be performing structural welding, building a noise wall, welding pipe caps using medium to heavy gauge material.
These positions are day shift only working 18 days on 10 days off on a FIFO (ex Brisbane) roster with camp/food provided. You travel up in work time (paid) and return home the first day of R&R. Working hours are 11 hours per day with an unpaid lunch break. The pay rate is $53.88 plus penalties. The work is starting ASAP and will go until at least March 2023 with a chance of extension. There is a Christmas shutdown from 22nd of December, returning on the 9th of January. .
Skills and Experience
• Experience with Structural welding and use of medium to heavy gauge material
• White card - essential
• Previous remote work experience
• Strong commitment to OH&S
• Ability to pass a full medical including Drug & Alcohol screening
