We are currently collaborating with a leading Australian rail locomotive company based in Kilburn. Their fleet also comprises over 1,700 freight wagons of a variety of types including ballast hoppers, grain hoppers, bulk mineral hoppers, and intermodal flat wagons of varying lengths and carrying capabilities

About the role

Our client specialise in providing tailored maintenance solutions for all types of locomotives, wagons and crew vans. Being based on the main rail corridors at Kilburn, South Australia and in Goulburn, NSW gives them the ability to provide maintenance solutions to customers between these locations. Purpose-built workshop facilities also enable them to offer a one-stop shop for all of their valued customers' maintenance requirements.

There is multiple day shift positions based in Kilburn available for immediate start for the right candidates. We are seeking Boilermakers and workshop experience is advantageous. These roles are workshop based and involve the manufacturing of rail carriages, wages and locomotives as well as repair and maintenance works. Duties are varied and no two days will be the same.

Our client has years' worth of projects and can offer ongoing work for the right candidates along with employment flexibility. They are currently working up to 10 hour a days and potential Saturday work but overtime is optional. In exchange, they offer a fantastic culture and safe working facilities.

Requirements

• Certificate III in Fabrication - Boilermaker Trade
• Technically minded
• Happy to work in a workshop
• Good organisational skills
• Ability to diagnose, fault find and problem solve
• Commitment to quality, attention to detail & effectiveness
• Ability to work as part of a team with minimum supervision
