Position Overview
Based in Darwin the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the NTSC, will be entrusted with the organisation's strategic direction, financial sustainability, and governance. You will work closely with the Board to drive effective governance practices, advocate for the interests of our members, foster engagement, ensure financial stability, and lead organisational change.

Key Responsibilities:
Governance: Implement modern governance rules and systems, advise the Board on key issues, inform strategic planning processes, and execute organisational strategy.
Advocacy: Represent the Council to stakeholders, advise the Board on relevant issues, and execute the organisation's strategic plans.
Member Engagement: Develop and facilitate a member engagement model, ensuring a pipeline of strategic matters to the Board.
Membership Model: Develop a compelling membership value proposition and attract new members through strategic plans.
Financial Sustainability: Develop and implement business plans aligned with Council objectives, prepare budgets, ensure cash flow adequacy, and manage administrative functions effectively.
Organisational Change: Lead and manage organizational change initiatives in a climate of constant change and uncertainty.
Leadership: Provide support, direction, and leadership to the Council's staff, utilising contemporary human resource management practices and ensuring compliance with operational policies and procedures.

Competencies Required:
1. Proven experience in providing high-level strategic and policy advice.
2. Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and logical documents.
3. High-level interpersonal skills, including consultation, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
4. Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
5. Understanding of contemporary best practices in human resource management.
6. Proficiency in computer literacy and business software usage.
7. Relevant professional qualifications such as a degree in business management or extensive experience in senior management roles.
