Currently seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager for various rosters (FIFO & DIDO) for site locations around metro Adelaide and rural SA. (If FIFO - ex Adelaide).


Working closely with Construction Manager, the Civil Project Manager is responsible for strategically managing various aspects of projects from project contract award, through to execution and close out ensuring effective management of people and processes to deliver projects on time and within budget.


Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:


ORGANISATIONAL - monitor and review progress reports and make staffing/resourcing, financial, schedule and other adjustments to align the developing project with broader outcome goals
COMMERCIAL, PROCUREMENT & CONTRACT MANAGEMENT - Subcontractor and contracts management, manage claims process
STAFF MANAGEMENT - hands on' leading and management of project team and conduct effective delegation
FINANCIAL - cost control against budget, forecast costs to complete, review financial reporting
RISK, OHSE, QUALITY - ensure risk mitigation, manage safety in conjunction with safety personnel


Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:


  • Previous civil construction industry experience gained to Project Manager level
  • Previous experience with roadworks would be advantageous
  • Experience in Contracts Administration and management
  • Experience in managing construction scheduling and cost/cash flow management
  • Proficient in project management suite of software (e.g., MS Project or Primavera), ERP systems (e.g., Pronto, SAP, Oracle e-business), and project management platforms (e.g., inEight, Aconex, Procure)
  • Project Management, Engineering, Finance or Management qualifications advantageous
  • Flexibility to work rural SA / interstate as required
  • Current Driver's License and current White Card
  • Current Police Record and ability to obtain DCSI and Defence clearance
