This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to take a leading role working on large-scale projects including battery, solar and wind farms, and high voltage transmission assets, to ongoing maintenance plans and stand alone installations.
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join this high performing team based in Adelaide with a good balance of local and regional site works as locations will vary from regional South Australia sites and remote locations around Australia.
Skills and Experience
The main expectation of this role is to provide technical expertise for all Company projects including planning and managing all commissioning and switching activities across the wider project lifecycle in order to deliver all projects successfully. Responsibility of resource management, achieving utilisation and revenue targets and building organisation effectiveness across the project delivery team.
To be considered for this role you will need:
·Experience in managing a technical team to work strictly within technical guidelines safely and efficiently.
·To be able to demonstrate technical leadership including providing technical expertise to the project delivery team to resolve technical matters and the pre-contracts team on tenders and proposals.
·Capability and confidence developing and executing commissioning and testing plans.
·Superior communication skills to be able to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers to understand their objectives and desired outcomes to meet and exceed their expectations.
·Demonstrated experience strategically managing major subcontractors and suppliers to facilitate the optimal value of goods and services provided.
·A commitment to develop and grow staff capability to ensure technical skills are maintained across the Company and drive continuous development of employees to meet both personnel and business aspirations.
·Full understanding of schematic drawings and electrical protection schemes.
·Transformer testing and commissioning experience.
·Significant knowledge of appropriate Australian and International Standards, knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
·Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism and effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
·Demonstrated experience with commissioning and testing of HV equipment. Availability work travel inter/intra state when required
·Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
·Tertiary qualification in Business Management
·Significant relevant experience in electrical commissioning projects or related business.
·HV Switching Licence
·Significant relevant experience in commissioning process and practices, including primary and secondary injection testing techniques.
