Key Responsibilities
- Build and upgrade underground telecommunications infrastructure (excluding wireless/mobile).
- Perform cable hauling for fibre and copper networks.
- Read and interpret telco construction plans and mark up variations.
- Lead a small team and report daily to management.
- Liaise with clients professionally via phone and email.
- Quote work and raise variations as needed.
- Operate machinery (excavator, skid steer) as required.
- Travel to project sites as needed.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience working directly on the Telstra Network.
- Proven knowledge of underground telecommunications infrastructure.
- Telecommunications Pit and Pipe accreditation.
- ACM WPA certified and Supervisor accreditation.
- Open cabling registration with endorsements for HFC, Optic Fibre, Copper, and Structured Cabling.
- HR Truck License (or willingness to obtain prior to employment).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to pass DCSI Working with Children and Elderly assessment and Defense Screening.
- Willingness to work away when required.
Highly Regarded
- Excavator and Skid Steer tickets.
- Experience managing staff and delegating tasks.
- Familiarity with quoting and variation processes.
