About the Company
Our client is a cornerstone of essential services delivery in the Northern Territory, dedicated to ensuring reliable, sustainable power and water supply. As part of this commitment, their Supply Chain Strategy and Operations team drives effective contract management and governance. They are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Resource to join their team on a mid term labour hire placement.

About the Role
As Procurement Resource, you will be integral to implementing and refining the Contract Management Framework, ensuring robust contract governance and controls. In a close-knit team environment, you will oversee contract activities, monitor performance, and provide expert strategic and tactical advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract management advisory including delivery of commercial advice and compliance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to elevate contract management performance.
  • Identify issues, optimising contract delivery and outcomes.
  • Draft policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks
  • Prepare reports for management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Address contract inquiries, disputes, and negotiate with suppliers as needed.

Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in the construction or utilities sector.
  • Exceptional communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a strategic approach.
  • Excellent organisational skills, both independently and within a team setting.
  • Senior-level expertise in commercial contract management, policy, or governance.
  • Practical knowledge of advanced contract management techniques.
  • Relevant qualifications in Procurement or Contract Management.
  • Experience advising on procurement and contract management within corporate, government, utilities, or construction settings.

  • Competitive hourly rate of $77phr + Super.
  • Standard Monday to Friday schedule, 37.5 hours per week.
