Electrical Engineer

Red Appointments have an established history of working with successful and respected organisations regionally and nationally to engage engineering professionals to join their teams.

We are now seeking an experienced and capable Electrical Engineer for a permanent full-time opportunity with a National Tier 1 company that has recently been awarded a project that consists of overhead powerline construction and installation to interconnect facilities and assets.

This opportunity is offered on a FIFO basis from Adelaide with full camp accommodation and flights provided on an 18/10 roster with a very competitive base salary with a generous site uplift. There is the additional benefit that whilst it is FIFO this position gives you the opportunity to stay in South Australia!
Skills and Experience
·Demonstrated experience working on HV and powerline construction projects (desirable)
·Experience in various testing and commissioning
·Superior communication and interpersonal skills to ensure ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders to ensure the project progresses.
·Strong understanding of technical and industry standards to ensure compliance
·Previous experience of developing technical documentation and maintenance/operational manuals.
·Solid decision making, analytical and investigative skills
·Sound understanding of Contract and scope of project
·Confidence in ensuring quality standards are met with all electrical aspects of the project
·Experience assisting the technical procurement for the project including forecasting scheduling and determining variations.
·Sound commercial understanding to support budget and project controls
·Demonstrated focus on OHS legislation, principles and practices and risk management
·Competent and confident in conflict and crisis management
·Appropriate site tickets such as Construction White Card
