This is a full time and permanent position however our client may also consider suitable applicants who are seeking to work four days per week. This isa semi-autonomous role where you will manage your own job estimating duties, whilst also working with the wider operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical cost estimates and bids with accuracy and efficiency
- Compile detailed project estimates including labour and material costs
- Prepare and submit bids to customers, including materials, labour and overhead costs
- Evaluate project plans and specifications, as well as assess job site conditions
- Research and source materials and equipment needed for projects
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors
- Analyse job costs and ensure accurate pricing for estimates and bids
- Maintain job files and update project status in database
- Assist with the preparation of change orders and other project documents
Skills and experience required:
- Previous experience working as an electrical estimator for services/maintenance works for a range of clients, ideally within the Commercial and Industrial sectors
- Estimating experience on Tier 2 and Tier 3 construction projects is also advantageous
- Highly competent in MS Suite, especially SharePoint, Outlook and Excel
- Experience using LEVESYS software is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet tender deadlines
- Valid current driver's licence and White Card
- Hold a recent Police Check or be willing to secure one
