Our Client is a privately owned, not-for-profit Aboriginal organisation of 30-yrs and based in Port Hedland, WA. They are committed to providing essential services to Aboriginal communities, focusing on property management, environmental health, municipal services, and the maintenance of critical infrastructure.

They are currently seeking an experienced Electrician with expertise in diesel power generation and installations to join their Power Crew team on a FIFO roster of 3:2, with an immediate start.

Position Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team working in the remote Pilbara region. As an Electrician on a 3:2 FIFO roster, you will work closely with a Diesel Fitter in a two-man crew to perform maintenance, repair, and installation tasks on diesel-powered gensets and generators. Your work will support the delivery of power to 28 Aboriginal communities in the Pilbara and surrounding areas, ensuring the continued operation of critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of diesel power generation equipment and gensets.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in power generation systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections, testing, and calibration of generators to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide emergency repair services and breakdown assistance as needed.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new power generation equipment.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work.

Skills & Experience:
  • Proven technical expertise in power generation, substations, diesel engines and generators.
  • Relevant work experience in the power generation industry.
  • WA Electrical Licence.
  • HR Drivers licence.
  • White Card.
  • Current police clearance.
  • CPR, LVR & First Aid certification.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a remote, FIFO environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols

What's on Offer:
  • FIFO 3:2 roster to Port Hedland.
  • Flat Hourly Rate of $62.50, paid for 11.5-hour workdays.
  • Additional $90 per day LAFA for meals.
  • Flights and accommodation provided.
