On behalf of the Northern Territory Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Red Appointments are currently seeking to recruit Executive Assistants for Managing Prosecutors. You will be required to provide high level administrative and secretarial support to Managing Prosecutors in Darwin to facilitate the efficient and effective operation of the Office.
The DPP in the Northern Territory of Australia plays a central role in the criminal justice system, with responsibilities defined by the Director of Public Prosecutions Act 1990. The DPP is responsible for instituting, preparing, and conducting criminal prosecutions on behalf of the Crown before the various Courts throughout the Northern Territory.

Salary Range:
$75,091 - $85,611
Key Requirements:
- Sound interpersonal skills together with good oral and written communication skills to be able to communicate effectively with the public, peers and other agency officers, displaying sensitivity and cultural awareness.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and proactively problem solve, as well as sound professional judgement, common sense, integrity and discretion.
- Demonstrated high level competency in a range of systems and applications such as Microsoft suite products and electronic records system and IT meeting tools.
- Knowledge of the role and responsibility of the NT Director of Public Prosecutions and the wider criminal justice process, including appeals, or the ability to quickly acquire this.
- Sound organisational skills and high level of self-management, including a proven ability to determine workload priorities, work under pressure, use initiative and meet stringent deadlines without close supervision.
