Skills and Experience
The main expectation of this role is to provide ongoing compliance with Health and Safety policies and standards and increase the safety awareness, participate in in scheduled and ad hoc safety activities including audits, investigations, training and projects.
To be considered for this role you will need:
Essential
·Contribute and influence and environment where Health and Safety is an integral part of how business is conducted.
·Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and proactive.
·Provide immediate support for incident investigations, identify corrective actions and provide input into solutions to prevent further issues.
·Knowledge of SA WHS Act, Regulations and Codes of Practice
·Flexibility to travel to various sites around South Australia.
·Formal safety qualifications (minimum of Certificate IV WHS)
·Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism and effective communication skills.
·Sound computer skills including the use of word, excel, outlook and PowerPoint.
·Drivers Licence.
Desired
·Internal audit and training qualifications.
·Experience in a safety role within a self-insured environment.
