About the Role:

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Workforce Capability Development and Training Specialist.
Primary Objective:
As a Workforce Capability Development and Training Specialist, you will provide leadership in the development and procurement of capability and technical requirements. You will collaborate across the business to analyse competencies and create training pathways that support an empowered and high-performing workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning: Support the procurement process for capability and training panels, conduct benchmarking, and plan the development and implementation of capability frameworks.
Workforce Capability: Lead the review, design, and implementation of capability development and training pathways. Engage with managers and technical experts to clarify requirements and develop training needs analyses.
Learning and Development Program Design: Identify training skills, provide recommendations for priority training, contribute to people planning processes, and manage the development of e-learning materials.
What you need to succeed:
• Demonstrated experience in designing and developing learning and development frameworks.
• Proven ability to create structured, strategic L&D frameworks that align with organisational goals.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• In-depth understanding of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
• Experience in managing third-party learning and development resources.
• Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems to develop e-learning materials.
• Resourceful in securing and deploying resources.
• Must be able to commit to a 12-month temp assignment.
Desirable:
• Qualifications in Learning and Development or a Cert IV in Training and Assessment.
• Prior experience in a utility or commercial environment, or Government-owned Corporation.
• Experience with ELMO or similar LMS systems.
