Our well established, national and award winning electrical client is currently looking to fill a unique opportunity. This Maintenance Sales Representative role requires a candidate who is looking to progress their career from an electrical trades or engineering background into a technical sales role with a proven ability to maintain / secure new business and meet set sales targets through their finely tuned ability to identify opportunities, close sales deals and ultimately, deliver!
Reporting to the Division Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Build and maintain excellent professional relationships with existing and new clients in commercial, construction, education, health, industrial, manufacturing, and infrastructure industries for the provision of maintenance and other electrical services
- Qualify prospects, make effective sales presentations, and manage proposals to close sales
- Identify opportunities and provide leads to the Designed Electrical Services sales team
- Quote and estimate for the work identified through the preparation of timely, complete, clear and concise reports and proposals
- Ensure customer needs are addressed in a timely manner, including negotiating short- and long-term contract renewals, address customer concerns to ensure resolution and maintain long term positive relationships
- Maintain concise sales information capture to ensure timely and accurate internal sales and KPI reporting
- Please note that training will be provided on TEGG model / framework
Essential skills / Experience required:
This role would ideally suit a technically savvy graduate/electrician who has electrical, communications, trade or engineering background looking for a an opportunity to progress into a BD/sales/account management role
- Previous experience of estimating and quoting within a commercial construction or engineering environment (ability to survey electrical systems by interpreting drawings, equipment and site conditions)
- Previous technical sales experience in client facing roles gained within the wider building services industry, preferably electrical, managing key service account relationships is preferred but not essential
- Able to demonstrate experience of working with multiple customers and competing priorities
- Well-developed computer skills
- Ability to manage your own time and workloads and able to work towards agreed KPI's
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to clients (typically around metro Melbourne) - this is not a purely office based position
