Our client sells and services earthmoving machinery, mining equipment, mobile cranes, tower cranes, maritime cranes as well as foundation and piling equipment throughout Australia and New Zealand.
About the role:
We are on the hunt are for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our reputable client's team. You will be working afternoon shift (2:00pm to 10.06pm). You will be responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant, inspection, repair and overhaul services to major components for large roadable items in their workshop based in Para Hills West.
Duties:
- Disassembly, measurement, and inspection of components
- Request required spare parts
- Operate workshop equipment including overhead cranes, Hydraulic Torque Tooling, Induction heaters and various MHE
- Rebuild, repair, and overhaul mechanical and hydraulic components from large scale mining equipment
- Participate in OEM training
Qualifications & Skills required:
- Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical/Fitter & Turner)
- High Risk Licence LF
- DG & EWP Tickets highly desirable
- Large excavator / haul truck experience
- Mining equipment experience
- Highly competent in the use of measurement equipment to tight tolerances
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, technical specifications and manuals
- A valid National Police Check (no older than 6 months)
- Pass a full functional Pre-Employment Medical
