Mechanical Tradesperson

Our Client, who is a government owned corporation, is currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Tradesperson experienced in large scale industry environments for day-to-day routine maintenance of generation assets at the Ron Goodin Power Station in Alice Springs.

Duties will include;
• On-the-ground operations work
• Manage / investigate critical plant emergency incidents, complete technical reports and efficiency assessments
• Commissioning tasks both operational and technical
• Maintain and build effective working relationships with stakeholders
• Liaise / Supervise and Manage contractors in relation to on-site permits and safety
• Participate in on-call rosters and travel to other stations when required

The Successful Candidate must be able to Demonstrate;
• Relevant Trade mechanical AQF CERT III qualification
• Ability to identify, rectify abnormal operation conditions in plant equipment and generate accurate reports
• Sound ability to work in a Permit to Work system, ensuring safety, work unsupervised and maintain interaction with operational staff
• Well-developed computer literacy skills
• NT Driver's licence
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Competence and commitment to work place safety
