About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified HV/LV Mechanic with leadership experience to take on a supervisory role at Olympic Dam. This is a casual position with a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to transition into a full-time permanent role following successful completion of the probation period.
You will oversee a busy workshop, lead a skilled crew, and ensure smooth daily operations. The role includes responsibility for servicing both the company's fleet and external customer vehicles above ground.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading 8 mechanics across rotating crews
- Supervising 1 office administrator
- Managing rosters and scheduling
- Overseeing service and maintenance of internal fleet and external customer vehicles
- Troubleshooting and coordinating work on utes, trucks, and cranes
- Quoting jobs and liaising with clients
- Ordering parts and managing supplier relationships
- Ensuring inspections meet company & client standards
- Reviewing timesheets and supporting invoicing and admin tasks
Skills & Experience:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- HV/LV Mechanic qualification
- Proven experience in workshop supervision
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage compliance, scheduling, and quoting
- A hands-on approach and problem-solving mindset
