With seven direct reports you will be leading, resourcing multiple work teams, and providing high level customer service ensuring all work is on track and meeting agreed timelines and financial targets.
Reporting to the Division Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the overall performance of staff and allocating work responsibilities to supervisors, leading hands, project managers, engineers, co-ordinators, and administrators
- Set up new projects to ensure all necessary resources are in place including technical requirements and purchasing and support tending processes
- Oversee the logistics for all jobs
- Ensure all allocated works meet agreed time and financial targets
- Ensure monthly forecasting and invoicing is on track and in line with budgets
- Monitor technician reports and ensure clarity and consistency in documentation
- Participate in relevant strategy and business planning processes
- Promote, maintain, and manage customer relationships
- Work collaboratively with relevant internal managers to ensure the effective co-ordination and utilisation of all resources on various jobs
- Work collaboratively with management to improve business processes
- Manage leave requests and staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage
Skills / Experience required:
- Substantial operations management experience gained within an electrical / maintenance / services environment
- Experience in the operations and planning management of multiple maintenance and service jobs running concurrently
- Earlier career as an electrician is essential
- Excellent leadership qualities - ability to lead, coach and mentor
- Proven ability to work independently
- Previous experience gained specifically in service management
- Electrical qualifications/licences
- Understanding of WHS requirements
- Strong business acumen and proven experience in business administration and financials in relation to projects and asset management
- Excellent time management, problem solving and quick decision-making skills
- Excellent negotiation skills with a strong customer focus and impeccable service ethic
To be successful for this role, you will have previous experience in leading a team of staff with a proven proactive management style. You will coach, motivate, and influence others, ideally, be well connected with long term relationships in the NSW electrical services market and have a strong logistics background with excellent attention to detail.
