About the Role

We are currently seeking highly skilled Pressure Pipe Welders for work in a 2,400sqpm workshop based in Port Melbourne starting as soon as possible.

Our client is a leading Australian multi-discipline engineering company providing construction, maintenance and industrial services to the renewables, manufacturing, resources, complex infrastructure and industrial sectors. They are a leading provider of mechanical engineering services. Throughout the past decade they have expanded their work portfolio from that of being a maintenance and supplementary labour provider to principle contractor for medium sized construction projects for client such as CSR, Santos, APA, Veolia, VicRoads, Cement Australia and Boral.

This is s project role for 9-12 weeks working 10 hour days Mon-Fri with potential for Saturday work. This would suit people with solid experience working in the Oil and Gas industry (or projects) with ability to pass weld testing to AS4041/ASME B31.3 Australian standards.

These roles are offering fantastic pay rates at $68 per hour flat rate plus $2 per hour Assignment Completion Incentive which will be paid out if you remain until the end of the project,


Skills and Experience

• Previous Pipe Welding experience
• Pipe Welding qualifications highly regarded
• Ability to weld to AS4041/ASME B31.3 Australian standards
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Oil and gas experience highly regarded
• Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol Screening prior to starting
