Primary Objective

Power and Water Corporation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Engagement Lead to support the Regulation Economics and Pricing team. This role is pivotal in managing regulatory proposals and projects, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement across internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management of regulatory proposals and initiatives, including planning, governance, resource allocation, and evaluation.
  • Ensure timely and budget-compliant execution of regulatory projects and special initiatives.
  • Drive process and procedural improvements through well-managed special projects.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and updates effectively to senior management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
  • Monitor and control project outcomes, resolving issues and managing dependencies.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare high-level documentation including Board papers, ministerial briefings, and committee reports.
  • Provide secretariat support for regulatory committees and manage consultant contracts.

  • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory concepts.
  • Experience delivering key outcomes within a corporate or regulated setting.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects in regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with AER electricity regulatory determination processes or similar.
  • Experience in developing and implementing business improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in regulatory project delivery.

Desirable
  • Qualifications in project management, economics, law, finance, or accounting.
  • Experience in a regulated utility, commercial environment, or Government Owned Corporation.
