About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee and ensure maximum productivity and profitability in line with company targets. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, administration, scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control from contract award through to completion. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to managing client relationships and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver projects, including scoping, documentation, and proactive management of time, cost, and quality elements.
- Control subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring project delivery meets client expectations.
- Maintain accurate financial control of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and progress claims.
- Coordinate resources, including personnel, plant, and equipment, to achieve project outcomes.
- Support and maintain consistent WHS and QA management implementation.
- Actively participate in strategic planning and company initiatives.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with plastering industry best practices, and regulatory requirements relevant to the projects being managed.
- Project Management Experience: Proven experience managing projects from inception to completion, preferably in a similar industry. This includes experience with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage project teams, including subcontractors and suppliers. Experience in motivating and guiding team members to achieve project goals is crucial.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of project accounting and financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and progress claims. Experience with project accounting Software, such as Jonas Premier, would be beneficial.
- Client Relationship Management: Experience in managing client relationships, ensuring clear communication, and meeting client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Compliance and Standards: Knowledge and experience in maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. This includes implementing and supporting WHS (Work Health and Safety) and QA (Quality Assurance) management systems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle changes, unexpected issues, and conflicts that arise during projects. Experience in developing and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to ensure effective coordination and reporting within the project team and with clients.
- Strategic Planning: Experience in contributing to strategic planning and company initiatives, aligning project goals with broader organisational objectives.
