Are you passionate about risk governance and driving a strong risk culture across an organisation? Our client is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Risk And Insurance Analyst on a 6 month temporary basis with possible ongoing opportunities.

About the Role
As our Risk and Insurance Analyst, you'll be responsible for the governance and administration of our enterprise risk management framework. You'll work closely with risk owners, senior leaders, and external stakeholders to ensure our risk register is current, our controls are verified, and our reporting is clear and impactful.

Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the governance and administration of the risk management process by maintaining the quality and currency of the enterprise risk register, engaging risk owners to review risk and verify controls.
• Coordinate reviews and reporting activities to achieve team objectives and relevant regulatory requirements, including development of reports for Executive Leadership team, Audit and Risk Management Committee and external stakeholders.
• Undertake risk monitoring activities, including management, maintenance and regular updating of the Enterprise Risk Management Standard, risk procedures, risk tools and templates.
• Provide support and assistance with the insurance program and management of small claims, and coordination of the annual renewal program.
• Proactive delivery of risk framework, process and system training to key stakeholders, embedding risk culture across the business.
• Carry out duties in accordance with our client's safety and environmental policy, safety principles, corporate values, and behaviours.

What You'll Bring
Essential Skills & Experience
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with advanced Excel or BI platform proficiency
• Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to present risk clearly.
• Proven experience managing risk registers or similar systems.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and facilitate scenario-based discussions.
• Integrity, authenticity, and the ability to build trust across diverse teams.

Desirable Qualifications
• Degree (or working towards) in Business, Finance, or related field.
• Qualifications in governance, risk management, insurance, or internal audit
• Experience in regulated utilities, commercial environments, or government-owned corporations
