Our client is the world's largest mining company with the world's most significant deposits of copper, gold, and uranium providing the materials for essential infrastructure, enabling better standards of living. The projects are comprised of underground and surface operations and operates a fully integrated processing facility from ore to metal.

Seeking a seasoned Scheduler to join the team, commencing immediately in a long-term ongoing role on an hourly rate. Covering several projects at any one time, valued between $3 $10 million, you will develop, maintain, and revise project schedules for the current and ongoing projects.

Being an Adelaide resident, and predominantly working in the Adelaide head office, there will be a requirement to be on site at Olympic Dam approximately 2-3 days per fortnight. Camp and flights provided.


Your role:
Responsibilities are, but not limited to:
  • Development, monitoring and maintaining of project schedules
  • Understand construction sequencing and able to build first schedules
  • Performing schedule risk and critical path analysis
  • Producing regular reports on progress forecasts and manning
  • Able to provide coaching to key stakeholders
  • Be able to negotiate effectively with contractor schedules and challenge them
  • Corrective/preventative actions to influence on-time delivery of the project's objectives.

About you:
  • Solid experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project required, and Power BI would be highly regarded
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Have demonstrated experience, with the ability to challenge schedules and manage multiple packages concurrently
  • Be able to demonstrate your professional experience in planning & scheduling small to medium sized projects
  • Previous mining experience / background in construction would be highly desirable
