We are currently collaborating with leading South Australian and national engineering companies working across major shutdowns based in SA and interstate. There are multiple opportunities available and lots of work coming up for the remainder of 2022.
About the Role
Red Appointments are partnering with multiple large engineering companies to assist with recruiting for major shutdowns and projects for 2022 and into 2023. Offering work across various mines, heavy industrial sites, quarries and power stations locally in Adelaide, regional South Australia and interstate. Working for RED Appointments, specialists in shutdowns, we can offer a steady flow of keeping you busy from shutdown to shutdown.
Sites include but not limited to, Adelaide Brighton Cement, Carrapateena, Prominent Hill, Olympic Dam, Tanami Gold Mine, GFG Whyalla, Power Station across NSW and QLD, Moomba, and Groote Island.
Shutdowns vary in length and will typically offer 12hr shifts with appropriate allowances paid.
Skills and Experience
- Certificate III in Fabrication (Boilermaker)
- Experience with maintenance work on industrial plant
- Previous experience working on-site - highly regarded
- Flexibility to work long hours and work away
- Strong commitment to OH&S
- Pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol screening
Tickets (or willingness to obtain)
- Confined Space (highly desirable to be within 2yrs)
- Working at Heights (highly desirable to be within 2yrs)
- Police Clearance (will be site specific)
- White Card
- High-risk license (highly regarded)
