About the role:
You will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Support the implementation of the Project Quality, Safety and Environmental (QSE) Management Plans across the project, making plans using detailed drawings;
- Attend site inspections and assist to prepare estimates and submissions for works under the contract; assist to prepare project estimates and budgets;
- Assist in preparing accurate project specifications;
- Interpret designs for implementation on construction projects;
- Work with the Project Engineer(s) to ensure that construction works comply with the nominated plans and specifications;
- Assist to design engineering solutions across project works following detailed plans, designs and specifications;
- Coordinate and administer construction activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications;
- Assist to monitor and update on a regular basis the construction programs on projects (MS Project);
- Together with the Site Construction Supervisor(s), monitor daily work activities for production/progress and effectiveness of resources and assist to implement improvements with respect to activity costs;
- Assist in daily monitoring of the project quality requirements with respect to inspections, checklists, documentation and record keeping;
- Assist the site construction team in the organisation of labour and equipment;
- Assist to prepare site construction budgets and forecasts;
- Prepare work programme and monitor progress nominating activities to meet programmes; and
- Plan and prioritise workloads to meet changing deadlines.
- Liaise with site management with regards to their daily requirements.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (i.e. Bachelors Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering);
- Demonstrated relevant experience
- Previous experience on civil construction projects;
- Advanced computer literacy (MS Suite), especially Excel;
- Attention to detail;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal communications;
- Knowing and applying current industry standards and information;
- OD inducted persons preferred but not essential
