Our client, a specialist engineering contractor in Asset Preservation and Rehabilitation, are seeking an experience supervisor with experience in blasting and painting to join their already established team.

Your role:

  • You will lead and manage the project team within the assigned work area to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with quality standards, ensuring that contractual requirements are met by, but not limited to:
  • Ensuring project team compliance with customer contract conditions and scope of works
  • Ensuring accurate weekly progress and financial reports
  • Maintain accurate records of all site instructions and client verbal instruction and prepare variation notices
  • Monitor and record all causes of delays, preparing notices of delay
  • Coordinate and develop process improvement and standard work methodology across service activities to drive continuous improvement and process stability
  • Monitor and analyse Facility Zero Harm performance, setting improvement actions (as required)
  • Drive effective planning and co-ordination of project design, fabrication and installation activities across all designated projects
  • Follow an established program of reviewing project costs including costs to complete to ensure project profitability
  • Review and analyse project documents, estimates, specifications, drawings in conjunction with key stakeholders to clearly define the project scope and boundaries
  • Ensure project programming, scheduling and resource allocation and planning is completed with sufficient lead time and effective to deliver profitable works

About you:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated experience supervising teams and managing complex paint & blast /remediation/ waterproofing projects
  • Experience in asset remediation and infrastructure projects, with blasting & painting, and concrete rehabilitation works will be well regarded
  • NACE 2 certified which is highly desirable but not essential
  • Possess technical knowledge in coatings, surface preparation, management of hazardous substances and application processes.
  • Familiar with Quality systems - progressing, ITPs, QA/QC liaison
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
