Red Appointments are excited to support our client who is a leading Australian owned and operated wireless technology integrator. Specialising in the mining and industrial sector, designing, building, delivering, servicing and installing practical and effective solutions to meet their clients' needs.
Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Integration Engineer, to support the design, commissioning and maintenance of the telecommunications systems. This role includes producing highly detailed project documentation, being involved in acceptance testing, trouble shooting and supporting the Technicians and Field Engineers. Strong knowledge and experience in design and documentation is a must. Relevant technologies include telecommunications, power systems and supporting infrastructure.
This is an office based, permanent full-time position in Adelaide with the requirement for occasional trips to other offices and sites may be required.
Main Areas of Responsibilities
Reporting to the Engineering Manager your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
·Participate in a strong safety culture and report all incidents according to the procedures
·Plan, design, commission and support a variety of telecommunications technologies such as radio networks and data networks
·Plan, design, commission and support off-grid solar/battery solutions
·Assist in the planning, design and commissioning of supporting technologies such as towers and masts, skids and communications huts
·Assist and liaise with clients in the determination of design parameters as necessary
·Prepare fully detailed estimates for small and major projects and participation in effective tender preparation when required
·Capable of producing detailed scopes of work and designs
·Produce estimates for variations to contracts in progress
·Liaise with the drawing office to develop drawings from scratch and to modify where needed
·Provide direction to project, drafting & technician team members
·Own a project's engineering solution from start to finish
·Troubleshoot and provide technical advice to staff members and to clients in relation to telecommunications systems and associated equipment.
About you
·Educated to degree level in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic preferred), or equivalent
·Practical experience on communications and power systems
·Demonstrated practical knowledge of Australian Standards relating to telecommunications and electrical
·Previous design and documentation experience with communication networks
·Previous design experience of off-grid and hybrid power systems and equipment preferred
·Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks and simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands
·Professional membership of relevant engineering association advantageous
·Current C-Class Drivers' License
·Able to work alone or as part of a team
·Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
·Entitled to work in Australia.
