Our client is the world's largest mining company with the world's most significant deposits of copper, gold, and uranium providing the materials for essential infrastructure, enabling better standards of living. The projects are comprised of underground and surface operations and operates a fully integrated processing facility from ore to metal.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating clear, concise documentation for complex technical processes, developing comprehensive and precise documentation for inspections, maintenance instructions, operator routines, and related procedures for mining equipment and machinery across several current and future projects.

Being an Adelaide resident, working in the Adelaide head office on a 5:2 roster, there will be a requirement to be on site at Olympic Dam three (3) days per week. Camp and flights provided.

Your role:
Responsibilities are, but not limited to:
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation based off OEM including user manuals, training materials, and process documentation
  • Collaborate with key technical stakeholders to gather information and understand complex processes
  • Extract relevant data and ensure documentation aligns with system functionalities
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, accessible, and user-friendly
  • Support the implementation of innovative technologies and processes by providing comprehensive documentation

About you:
  • Proven experience as a technical writer, preferably in within mining / construction
  • Proficient use of D2 and Standardised Work platforms to extract data
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong ability to understand and communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work across multiple projects simultaneously
  • A passion for quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement in technical documentation
  • A trade background and previous mining experience / background in construction would be highly desirable
