Reporting directly to the Finance and Administration Manager, your role will be to provide varied accounting and bookkeeping support.
Typical day to day duties can include:
- General support to Finance and Administration Manager
- Supporting the preparation of Month End (reconciliations, journal entries, transactional analysis)
- Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable duties
- Support the processing of weekly pay (up to 30 staff)
- Process weekly supplier payments
- Preparation of Quarterly BAS and monthly PAYG instalments
- Support monthly invoice reconciliation
- Assist with Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
- Provide general support to the company finance function
- General Administrative duties
- Occasional assistance with internal audits
Skills, experience, attitude required:
- Previous experience as an Accountant, Junior Accountant or Bookkeeper (Having gained this experience in an industrial equipment supply company is certainly advantageous)
- Previous experience processing payroll or supporting the payroll function is advantageous
- Formal accounting qualifications are advantageous
- Internal Auditing qualifications are advantageous
- Cert IV Business is advantageous
- Highly computer literate with strong competency using MS Office (particularly Excel)
- Experience with accounting/financial systems - e.g. MS Dynamic, SAP, MYOB or XERO
- Excellent phone and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Possess a can do' attitude, always taking care and pride in your work
