Unique opportunity to use your electrical quoting and estimating capabilities of maintenance and services installation work, in an account management and sales role. This position is a mix of office based (near Parramatta, and client facing (around Sydney CBD and metro suburbs).

Our well established, national award-winning electrical client is currently looking to fill a unique opportunity. The role requires an experienced account manager with an electrical trades/engineering background, with electrical services, minor works, small electrical projects quoting, estimating and sales experience, to take on a busy and interesting role with a strong account management focus, that will fully utilise your stakeholder engagement / negotiation capabilities.

Reporting to the Division Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Liaise and negotiate with existing and new clients (commercial, construction, education, health, industrial and, infrastructure) for the provision of electrical services relating to repairs, modifications, replacements, upgrades and LV, HV and High Energy installations
  • Identify and follow up on potential additional new business opportunities from existing maintenance and services contracts
  • Quote and estimate for the work identified
  • Be the key point of contact for clients, managing proposals to ultimately close sales

Essential skills / Experience required:

  • Previous experience in customer facing roles within the electrical industry managing key B2B service account relationships
  • Experience in quoting electrical works - maintenance and services, small projects, minor works
  • Experience with quoting HV works is advantageous but not a pre-requisite
  • Electrical trade or electrical engineering background
  • Proven success as a dedicated account manager
  • Previous experience of prospecting into new markets, generate leads and closing new business deals is advantageous
  • Able to demonstrate experience of working with multiple customers and competing priorities
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in fast paced and KPI driven environment
  • Well-developed analytical, financial and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills (including MS Word and MS Excel)
  • Ability to work autonomously within guidelines, plan and efficiently schedule appointments and manage personal time to ensure timely service to customers, prospects and the company
  • Current drivers license and own transport
