This a unique opportunity for an electrical estimator with at least three years experiencing estimating projects at 2m AUD or above to join a Tier One national electrical contracting company. You will be working in Sydney (western suburbs).
If you have estimated on medium / large scale projects for electrical services or perhaps estimated on smaller and multiple tenders across a range of services, (e.g., electrical fire, security, AV), Red Appointments would like to hear from you.
The Role:
Reporting to the Division Manager and working closely together with DM and another experienced Electrical Estimator, to provide accurate and competitive estimates to continuously win a range of tenders. The role is pivotal in ensuring that the cost of supplies and labour is sound, and the projects are sustainable and profitable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and develop accurate job cost estimates meeting all agreed timeframes, whilst ensuring all profit margins and cost objectives are met on all tenders
- Assist management with pursuing tender leads and opportunities
- Assist in tender preparations, presentations, negotiations, and submission
- Assist in the selection of suitable suppliers/contractors and always obtain best pricing
- Be instrumental in building and maintaining relationships with key industry personnel
Skills / Experience required:
- At least three years of experience as an electrical estimator across a range of tenders at 2m AUD or above (commercial, health, education, or defence)
- Sound knowledge and experience in using MS Excel for tenders
- Excellent planning and prioritising ability and commitment to meeting tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with a range of internal/external stakeholders
