This isa semi-autonomous role where you will manage your own job estimating duties, whilst also working with the wider operations team.
Our client is open to considering candidates who may be interstate and interested in relocating to Adelaide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical cost estimates and bids with accuracy and efficiency
- Compile detailed project estimates including labour and material costs
- Prepare and submit bids to customers, including materials, labour and overhead costs
- Evaluate project plans and specifications, as well as assess job site conditions
- Research and source materials and equipment needed for projects
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors
- Analyse job costs and ensure accurate pricing for estimates and bids
- Maintain job files and update project status in database
- Assist with the preparation of change orders and other project documents
Skills and experience required:
- Previous experience working as an electrical estimator for services/maintenance works for a range of clients, ideally within the Commercial and Industrial sectors
- Estimating experience on Tier 2 and Tier 3 construction projects is also advantageous
- This opportunity may also suit a time served maintenance and services electrician who has gained some experience in quoting and estimating and would now like to get fully off the tools and be mentored and supported in a full time estimating role.
- Highly competent in MS Suite, especially SharePoint, Outlook, and Excel
- Experience using LEVESYS software is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet tender deadlines
- Valid current driver's licence and White Card
- Hold a recent Police Check or be willing to secure one
