Working for a well-established and award-winning electro-technology company, this Project Management role will require you to be responsible for the technical and administrative management of all allocated projects, servicing requirements and other field activities within the SA State based Engineering Services Division, including co-ordination and management of shared resources. You will be leading, resourcing multiple work teams, and providing high level customer service ensuring all work is on track and meeting agreed timelines and financial targets.
Reporting to the Engineering Services Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the overall performance of staff and allocate work responsibilities to supervisors, leading hands, engineers, coordinators, and administrators
- Set up new projects to ensure all necessary resources are in place including technical requirements and purchasing and support tendering processes
- Oversee the logistics for all jobs
- Ensure all allocated works meet agreed time and financial targets
- Participate in relevant strategy and business planning and business improvement processes
- Promote, maintain, and manage customer and supplier relationships
- Work collaboratively with relevant internal managers to ensure the effective co-ordination and utilisation of all resources on various jobs
Skills / Experience required:
- Demonstrated project management or operations management experience gained within an electrical commercial maintenance and services environment
- Previous experience as a Facilities Manager/Facilities Coordinator is also favourable
- Experience in the operations and planning management of multiple electrical maintenance and service jobs running concurrently
- Proven ability to plan, coordinate and schedule work
- Proven ability to work independently
- LV (and preferably HV), Electrical qualifications/licences/experience
- Understanding of WHS requirements
- Strong business acumen and proven experience in business administration and financials in relation to projects, WIP and asset management
- Excellent time management, problem solving and quick decision-making skills
- Excellent negotiation skills with a strong customer focus and impeccable service ethic
