The role will involve visiting various sites over the 5 days to perform HSE functions including inspections, audits, investigations and HSE training and compliance duties. This is a temporary roles, with the potential opportunity to progress to a permanent full time role.
To be considered for this role you will need:
Essential:
- Knowledge of SA WHS Act, Regulations and Codes of Practice and previous experience in a HSE role ideally gained within a construction, food processing or manufacturing environment
- Contribute and influence to an environment where Health and Safety is an integral part of how business is conducted
- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and proactive
- Provide immediate support for incident investigations, identify corrective actions and provide input into solutions to prevent further issues
- Flexibility to travel to various sites around rural and remote South Australia
- Formal safety qualifications (minimum of Certificate IV WHS)
- Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism and effective communication skills
- Sound computer skills including the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Current Drivers Licence
Desired:
- Internal audit and training qualifications
- Experience in a safety role within a self-insured environment
