Managing all aspects of this commercial grade switchboard manufacturing business, this role requires a skilled, professional, and focused individual who has gained a wealth of experience, ideally in the electrical switchboard/engineering sector, although management experience gained in other manufacturing environments may also be considered.

As a HANDS-ON CHANGE MANAGER, you will be able to manage existing workload as well as being instrumental in developing products and being a master of lean manufacturing. You will lead the team into a new way of thinking, to meet the demanding nature of a switchboard business that delivers to clients in the industrial, mining, resources, manufacturing, and commercial sectors.

We are looking for an individual with the following skills:

  • Change Manager with a can do' attitude coupled with proven people management skills
  • Strong ability and proven history in the lean manufacturing space
  • Profit and loss accountabilities and budget management to ensure sustainable profit for the cost centre
  • Business development - externally and internally
  • Attend and be a key player in regular strategic and executive meetings
  • Management of materials including planning, negotiating, and purchasing duties to ensure ongoing cost efficiencies
  • HR duties including the management of recruitment, training and OHS requirements
  • Project forecasting and regular reporting thereof
  • Strong negation action skills
  • Good head for future proofing the business through product development
  • Develop and ensure sound customer and supplier relationships

To be considered for the role it is ESSENTIAL you have the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience working in a senior managerial position gained while working within the electrical industry sector (ideally switchboards, but similar experience gained in manufacturing (heavy industrial sector), may also be considered
  • Previous experience as an electrician/electrical engineer in relation to switchboards is preferred
  • Proven experience and a great aptitude for business development and commercial negotiation, ideally gained within the electrical/engineering field
  • An understanding/experience of lean manufacturing/lean production/lean engineering' principles
  • Proven success in the management, motivation, and development of teams
