Role scope:
Responsible for the delivery of technical aspects of large and complex engineering projects including land and road development, civil infrastructure, bulk earthworks, storm water drainage, access tracks, major roads, intersections, erosion and sediment control design. Experience with Contract Administration and Construction Superintendence is also required.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Review engineering designs, plans, prepare project specifications, scopes of work, services review and project opinion on probable cost
- Prepare concept, feasibility and detailed design documentation and obtain relevant reviews and approvals
- Regularly meet with project team to provide advice and mentoring on operational, project and management responsibilities
- Conduct site inspection with clients, contractors, council and regulatory authorities where required
Skills and experience required:
- Tertiary qualifications in CIVIL Engineering
- Chartered Engineering status and at least 15 years of experience
- Diverse experience within property and infrastructure projects including design for land and road development
- Engineering Consultancy experience in all or some of the following areas - large scale property, infrastructure projects, urban development, delivery of land divisions or DIT or Council Infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding and experience in contract administration and superintendency using AS2124-1992 General Conditions of Contract
- Demonstrated leadership experience and excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in business development, client engagement and consultation
- High level of computer literacy and design software
- Project Management experience / qualifications desirable
