As our WHS Manager, you'll drive operational compliance and nurture a safety-first culture, ensuring the well-being of our workforce.

Primary Objective:
Support the council in maintaining operational compliance and enhancing our safety culture. Duties include developing, implementing, and maintaining WHS systems, conducting risk assessments, offering specialized advice, and providing comprehensive training.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead continuous improvement of WHS systems.
• Offer specialist advice for compliance.
• Manage our WHS management system.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate training programs.
• Oversee workers' compensation claims.
• Cultivate stakeholder relationships.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
The successful Candidate must be able to demonstrate the following;
• Relevant WHS qualifications.
• Experience in similar roles, preferably in local government.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Understanding of insurance claims processes.
• National Criminal History Check and NT driver's license.
• Extensive WHS management experience.
• Experience in workers' compensation.
• Knowledge of WHS legislation.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Efficient results delivery.

What's on Offer…
• Approx salary of 120k + Super
• District allowance approx $1,500 to $2,600
• Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs per week
• 6-weeks annual leave
• Additional leave entitlements on offer
