About the role
As a Youth Development Coach (YDC) you will engage, mentor, and guide career development in government-funded youth employment initiatives. Working under Youth Transitions Coordinators' supervision, you will contribute to program delivery by:
  • Developing tailored vocational plans for participants
  • Delivering life skills workshops
  • Providing coaching and facilitating job searches
  • Identifying and connecting participants with relevant resources
  • Live the YWNT's culture of developing positive language and talent-building, embracing and modelling an Advantaged Thinking approach.

Skills & experience
  • Previous experience in Youth Work/Community Services/Disability
  • Effective engagement with young people and Aboriginal communities
  • Group facilitation and program delivery experience
  • Career Development or Cert IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Ideal candidates will sahreYWNT's passion for youth development
  • Previous roles held with job-active providers or community organisations are valued.

  • Willing to undergo a Police Check.
  • Ability to obtain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Current First Aid and/or CPR certificate or the preparedness to gain one.
