About the Role
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to their growing team. You will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating purchasing activities, and ensure smooth warehouse operations. This is a permanent position offers stability, growth, and the opportunity to work with a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records
- Source and purchase materials, tools, and equipment as required
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (training provided if needed)
- Assist with stock takes and reporting
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a warehousing or procurement role (industrial setting preferred)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Basic computer literacy (experience with inventory systems a plus)
- Forklift license (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A proactive attitude and commitment to safety
