About the Role & Duties
We are seeking a suitably qualified Electrician / Data Technician to join a specialist data and communications delivery team working across major construction projects in Sydney, New South Wales.
This is a permanent full-time position with an immediate start, supporting large-scale commercial and infrastructure builds. You will be part of a dedicated communications team responsible for delivering high-quality structured cabling, network infrastructure and security systems within active construction environments.
Duties will include:
• Data, communications and CCTV work within a construction environment
• Cat6A cabling - installation, termination and testing
• Supply and installation of new network racks
• Upgrade of existing network racks
• Installation of CCTV systems
• Installation of Wi-Fi equipment
• Installation and connection of network switches and UPS systems

What Experience Will Suit This Role
• Proven experience on commercial or large-scale construction projects
• A background working within dedicated data, communications or ICT delivery teams
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems (fibre and copper)
• Experience working around builders, supervisors and multiple trades
• A strong safety focus with an understanding of construction site compliance and KPIs
Requirements
• Unrestricted NSW A Grade Electrical Licence
• Construction White Card
• Current NSW Driver's Licence
• High Risk EWP Licence
• Current ACMA Cabling Licence with fibre and copper endorsements
• First Aid Certificate (desirable)
