About the Role & Duties
We are seeking an experienced Electrician / Instrumentation Technician (Dual Trade) for a 12-month contract backfill position supporting a major electrical and instrumentation maintenance department at a world-class mining and processing operation in Olympic Dam, South Australia.
This role is FIFO ex-Adelaide only, operating on a 7:7 roster, with camp accommodation and meals provided. You will be part of a maintenance-focused team responsible for ensuring plant reliability, safety, and compliance across critical infrastructure.
Key duties include:
• Electrical and instrumentation maintenance across fixed plant
• Calibration and fault-finding of transmitters and field instruments
• Responding to breakdowns and unplanned maintenance activities
• Supporting preventative maintenance programs
• Working within strict safety, isolation, and permit systems
This role will suit tradespeople with experience in heavy industrial or mining environments, particularly those familiar with:
• Process plant instrumentation
• Hazardous areas and critical asset maintenance
• CMMS-driven maintenance systems
• High standards of safety, documentation, and procedural compliance

To be considered, you must hold the following:
• SA Electrical Licence (Unrestricted)
• Certificate III in Instrumentation (highly desirable - Cert IV considered)
• White Card
• Confined Space (within 5 years)
• Working at Heights (within 5 years)
• High Risk Work Licence - WP
• Current Driver's Licence
• LVR / CPR (within 12 months)
