About the Role
Support the operation and maintenance of large‑scale Battery Energy Storage Systems across South Australia. This hands‑on role suits an experienced Electrician or Field Service Engineer who enjoys technical problem‑solving, site work, and working with cutting‑edge renewable energy technology.
You'll be responsible for the safe, reliable operation and optimisation of advanced BESS infrastructure. The role includes planned and reactive maintenance, commissioning support, fault‑finding, reporting, and on‑site customer interaction. Expect a mix of field service work, system monitoring, and technical documentation.
What You'll Be Doing
Maintain switchgear, transformers, BMS, HVAC, inverters, and associated systems
Perform planned and unplanned BESS maintenance
Fault‑find across LV/MV AC and DC systems
Support commissioning of new energy storage assets
Monitor system performance using advanced software tools
Respond to alarms and complete emergency repairs
Prepare detailed service reports and maintain compliance documentation
Act as a technical advisor during customer or contractor meetings
Follow site safety and isolation procedures

What You'll Need
-Electrical Trade qualification A‑Grade SA Electrical Licence (unrestricted)
-24 years' experience in BESS, renewable energy, or industrial electrical systems
-Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, inverters, EMS, PLCs, industrial networks, PV systems, protection relays, VFDs, HVAC, fire systems, AS/NZS 3000
-HV switching experience (desirable)
-White Card
-LVR/CPR (within 12 months)
-SA driver's licence
-Ability to pass pre-employment medical + drug/alcohol screening
-National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
-Willingness to travel as required
