Red Appointments are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a well‑established industrial operation located in Adelaide's northern suburbs. This role will see you working on heavy mechanical plant and equipment in a safety‑focused environment, with strong potential for ongoing employment for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical fitting, maintenance, and repairs on fixed and/or mobile plant
- Diagnose and fault‑find mechanical issues to minimise downtime
- Perform preventative maintenance in line with site schedules
- Conduct overhauls, shutdown work, and breakdown repairs
- Read and interpret drawings, manuals, and specifications
- Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and compliance
- Work collaboratively with site trades, operators, and supervisors
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Cert III or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience in industrial, quarry, mining, or heavy manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and rotating equipment
- Ability to fault‑find and work autonomously
- High commitment to workplace health and safety
- Current driver's licence (LF forklift and/or confined space desirable but not essential)
