RED Appointment takes the security of job seekers seriously. Unfortunately, scammers are increasingly using fake job ads on social media, including Facebook, to impersonate legitimate recruitment agencies like ours. These scams can mislead job seekers, collect personal information fraudulently, and even demand money for fake job placements.

How to Spot a Fake Job Post

Here are some key red flags to look out for:

  1. The job post asks for upfront payments for training, uniforms, or application fees.
  2. Poor grammar, unusual formatting, or vague job descriptions.
  3. The contact details or website links don’t match the official RED Appointments website.
  4. Requests for personal or financial information via social media messages.

How to Protect Yourself

  1. Apply to email addresses that end in @redappointments.com to ensure you're communicating with our official team, not via direct messages on social media platforms.
  2. Apply through our official website: www.redappointments.com
  3. Verify job listings by calling our team directly.
  4. Report suspicious job ads on Facebook using the ‘Report’ function.
  5. Never share personal details unless you’re certain you’re dealing with a legitimate recruiter.
  6. RED Appointments will always post job vacancies on our official Facebook pages, RED Appointments SA and RED Appointments NT. While we may share links from our official pages into Facebook groups, we do not post jobs directly to groups.

If you come across a fake job post using our name, please let us know immediately. We are committed to keeping our candidates safe and ensuring job seekers have a trusted, reliable experience.
